Fubara stated that, notwithstanding the inherent individual distinctions caused by the varied ethnic groupings, the Port Harcourt Ring Road will serve as a bold endeavour in linking Rivers people and building greater harmony among them.
Governor Fubara made the remarks at the UTC Junction in Port Harcourt Local Government Area, where the Ring Road project was officially launched on Monday.
He noted that previous administrations attempted but failed to complete the project, and he praised his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, for initiating the New Rivers vision, which is serving as the building template for the State’s radical development as consolidated by his administration.
“Today, we are here to put mortar to brick on that contract signing,” he said. When we signed the contract, some of you were sceptical that we would actually start it.
“But we didn’t just sign it; we paid for it, and we’re here to get started.”

Fubara, who emphasised that there can be no genuine growth without road access, asked the many communities that the project will pass through to collaborate.
