The only problem is that none of these enterprises are tiny fry, and the point of dispute is a whopping N1 billion that has vanished from these organizations’ GT Bank accounts.
This online publication recognizes that achieving first in any business and profitability competition necessitates audacity strong enough to overthrow the world.
However, when this bravery leads to avarice and infamy, the trophies that result are disastrous. That success would eventually bury the winner beneath the weight of a poor reputation.
Chevron Nigeria, Shell Nigeria, Dangote Agro Sack Ltd, Nigeria Breweries, and the Jigawa State Local Government are among the companies that have apparently lost trust in GT Bank.
According to the story, four men used the resources of four companies to steal varied sums of money from Chevron and others.
Certainly a fraudulent act, the accused employed numerous techniques to infiltrate GT Bank databases, gaining illegal access to the corporate accounts of these gigantic organizations.
Although GTB is not the first prominent bank to have its system attacked, not even in 2023, it is the one with the greatest hole based on the size of the breach. A hole depends on how much money was stolen from Chevron, Dangote, and other companies’ domiciliary accounts.
