The rumor emerged following the publication of an Instagram story photo by the Happie Boys, where the text superimposed on the snapshot read;
“Jesus, I had a terrible dream about that man, he eats people’s flesh. He got his miracle power from India.”
However, upon being contacted for clarification, the duo clarified that they had no knowledge of such claims and asserted that blogs were exploiting their name to boost engagement.
It is important to note that the Happie Boys recently faced controversy surrounding the termination of their scholarship and their refusal to return to Nigeria.
This situation led to a falling out with Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, who is the General Overseer of OPM International and had facilitated their scholarship in Cyprus.
In light of the criticism received, the Happie Boys have issued an apology to Nigerians and Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere.
In a video posted on Instagram, the duo expressed remorse for their actions and sought forgiveness from their supporters and the OPM pastor.
“We are here to drop this apology video, telling everyone to forgive us. Please find a place to forgive us in your heart, especially Daddy OPM Worldwide.-
-We know the video touched him very well. The video is going viral and won’t repeat itself,” one of the Happie Boys stated.
The other added, “We are really sorry for the way this video is trending. We want to apologize to our daddy.-
-He is the only daddy we have. We shouldn’t have said so many things about him; we shouldn’t have revealed our private chat. Please find a place to forgive us; it won’t repeat itself.”
In addition to the apology, the Happie Boys announced their intention to focus on creating content that brings happiness to their fans, moving away from controversial topics.
