Nigerian singer Humble Smith, whose real name is Ekenedirichukwu Ijemba, recently shared a remarkable story about his journey to success.
In a candid interview with reality star Kimoprah on Hip TV’s Trending, the 32-year-old artist revealed that back in 2015, he was on the verge of resorting to begging to make ends meet.

However, a divine intervention changed the course of his life when he found inspiration for his hit song ‘Osinachi’ while inside a church in Lagos.
Humble Smith recounted, “I went to church in Lagos seeking help, but something inside me made me realize that I’m not meant to be a beggar.
-It was in that church that God blessed me with the song ‘Osinachi’.”
He emphasized the personal connection he had with the lyrics, stating, “Every word in that song is my story—a true life story. I have something that everyone can relate to.”
Despite his efforts, including shooting a music video in London, Humble Smith struggled to attain the recognition he desired.

He shared, “After recording the song, my team advised me to feature a superstar to boost its popularity. So, we reached out to Phyno.”
The collaboration with Phyno propelled the song to new heights, and eventually, Davido expressed interest in doing a remix. Humble Smith expressed his gratitude to Davido, saying, “Big thanks to him.”
