Nigerian singer, Davido, took to social media to ask his friends to send him N1 million each and he has received over N42 million in less than an hour.
When the multi-award-winning musician posted a video on his Instagram Story asking those he had assisted in the music industry to pay him a million naira, fans and followers assumed he was joking.

Davido said, “We rise by lifting others abi? Me I don dey rise dey lifting others for the past 100 years. So I want to know who my friends are. All of my friends one one million Naira. They said we are 30BG. If you don’t send your own. You out of here. You are gone (sic).”
To prove he wasn’t joking, the father of three revealed his account information and screenshots of money deposited into it on his stories thread.

Akin Alabi, a member of the House of Representatives for the Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency in Oyo State, and Emeka Okonkwo, called E-money, a businessman and socialite, were among those who sent money to Davido.
Mr Eazy, Teni the Entertainer, Chike, Adekunle Gold, Perruzi, and Ikorodu Bois are among the artists who have credited the singer’s account.
