According to the news, in addition to those confirmed dead, others with varying degrees of injuries were brought to hospitals. The bus they were riding in collided with another bus in Agbor, Delta State.

While numerous sources indicated three individuals were killed, Cajetan Duke, the state APC spokesperson, who also confirmed the tragedy, called it as unfortunate. He did, however, claim that the state party had only confirmed two deaths, not three.

According to sources, the three casualties included persons from the Amaraku village in the state’s Isiala Mbano Local Government Area and a female from the Ogbor community in the same LGA.

A party source, who requested anonymity, identified the three deceased as the coordinators for Senator-elect Patrick Ndubueze of Imo North and House of Representatives member-elect Miriam Onuoha of Okigwe North Federal Constituency.
