Nigerian actor, film producer, and director, Kunle Afolayan, premiered his latest movie, “Swallow“, yesterday, September 30 and in attendance were big names in the Nollywood industry – Lateef Adedimeji, Omowunmi Dada, Adunni Ade, Deyemi Okanlawon and a host of others.
The film “Swallow” is based on Sefi Atta’s novel of the same name, and it took place in Lagos in the 1980s. The film tried to represent the passionately spoken story of Atta’s characters as they seek to navigate misogyny, corruption, and poverty.
Singer Eniola ‘Niyola’ Akinbo played the lead role of Tolani Ajao, a bright-eyed young woman trying to make it in Lagos. The movie also stars Deyemi Okanlanwon (as Sanwo), Eniola Badmus (as Mrs. Durojaiye), Chioma Akpotha (as Mama Chidi), and Kevin Ikeduba (as OC).
Kunle Afolayan whose birthday was on Thursday launched his productions hub, KAP cinema, film and television academy along with the “Swallow” movie premiere. Sharing pictures of himself on Instagram, the actor wrote:
