Lagos State Govt. Receives Forfeited Diezani’s Property As Isolation Centre From EFCC

Part of the challenges we have been facing is getting isolation centers for COVID-19 patients. We will go round the facility to see what we can do to improve on it.

Lagos State government received a forfeited property belonging to former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison-Madueke from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The fortified property which comprises of the six flats of three bedrooms and a boys’ quarter was handed over yesterday, EFCC to LASG government which will serve as another isolation center for the state.

EFCC Zonal Head, Mr. Rambo informed during the handing over ceremony that it was an act of the Commission’s social responsibility efforts towards the fight against the spread of COVID-19

“In addition to our mandate to fight economic and financial crimes, the Commission is committed.

“Also ready to render essential services that may be required of it in the fight against COVID-19.

“Therefore, Lagos State should not hesitate to call on the Commission any time the need for such essential service arises,” he said.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, express his sincere appreciation to the Commission for the good gesture.

He has stated that it was a welcome collaboration between Lagos State Government and the Federal Government.

The Governor’s promised that the property will be well utilized for mitigating the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
