Military task force in charge of maintaining peace in Plateau State, codenam, have ‘arrested 1000 cows and a big number of sheep’ grazing on residents’ fields in Dumunan village, Bwai District, Mangu LGA.

The OPSH Military troop announced in a press statement and video made accessible to media in Jos, the State Capital, on Wednesday, through its Media Information Officer, Captain Oya James.
“In an ongoing effort to address security concerns in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) today arrested over 1000 cattle and a large number of sheep grazing on farmlands belonging to locals at Dumunan village in Bwai district of Mangu LGA,” it reads.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that these cattle and sheep originated in the LGAs of Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi, respectively, and are currently being held for further action.”
“Recall that the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division NA and Commander Operation Safe Haven, Major General AE Abubakar, promised to seriously address the root causes of the crisis and prevent any further attacks in the Mangu general area,” he said.
