What a relief!!! Tems and Omah Lay have been released from the Ugandan Police custody and this was made known to us by Mr Eazi who is their colleague.

The Two upcoming artists were arrested over the weekend for featuring in a music concert in the capital city of Uganda, Kampala. The concert was deemed a violation of the country’s Covid-19 guidelines.

Tems denied herself of food since her arrest. Taking to Twitter, Mr Eazi announced the release of the fast-rising Nigerian artistes and thanked everyone who contributed to ensure their freedom.

“Pleased to hear that My brothers and sisters are to be released & the case is resolved, Big love to everyone who worked on this & Special thanks to @adoniaayebare & The Government of Uganda, Chief Of Justice In Uganda. African relations must keep fostering strong!

A Chief Magistrate Court in Uganda also dropped the charges against the two singers.
