NASS 10th Assembly in crisis, as PDP senators cry over the injustice the party is facing in the hands of the ruling party, APC. They also stated that Wike and Akpabio has joined hands to eliminate the party from the Assembly.
Following the multiple crises that have rocked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senators elected on its platform have decried the level of injustice they are experiencing in the 10th NASS assembly.

While stating that the PDP had no input in picking the Senate Minority Leader, the members highlighted that their plight was made worse by the fact that the party was not there to help them.
A senator from the Northeast told SurgeZircNG, “The PDP lawmakers are very helpless in this administration of the 10th Assembly.”
The Social Democratic Party, which has only two members, was assigned to the Public Accounts Committee. “Nothing like this has ever happened before.”
The law makers, who declared that there is no longer a PDP, revealed that people were simply fighting for themselves.
“There is no PDP anymore; we can’t do anything collectively because there is no party to back us up,” he remarked. Individuals are only concerned with themselves.
“Some have even taken control, dubbing themselves ‘new generation lawmakers’; these are those who came from the House of Representatives.”
“They are so lawless that they have turned the Senate on its head.” Our rules are no longer followed. It’s a terrible thing.”
Another PDP senator warned that the main opposition party would most likely not survive its current crisis, stressing that even the party’s National Working Committee had been so compromised that it was like it was being run by Nyesom Wike, former Governor of Rivers State.
“Wike has taken over the PDP,” the lawmaker stated. Nobody is going to fight for us. Akpabio and his crew are now treating us in any case.
“No PDP lawmaker will want to speak with you in order to avoid being used as a scapegoat.”
