The killing and shooting of Nigerian youths over the protest against police brutality and inhuman living condition in Nigeria have continued for weeks with the “African Union” sleeping quietly, not even a statement from any of the African leaders.
The tyrannic system of the Nigerian government has been largely demonstrated before the African continent and the world at large after the most populous black nation released its military might on unarmed youths protesting for better governance.

Maybe the Nigerian government should be told, better still, be reminded that “peaceful protest” is the right of the people.
So far, a lot of Nigerian youths have been shot dead, countless of them are currently in intensive care units in hospitals, while the military still lay an ambush to devastate more youths – for requesting that the criminal activities of Nigerian police force be brought to an end.
How nice it would have been for Nigeria to vest the same military might it’s using against innocent youths on the Boko Haram insurgence that has not protested peacefully but has killed thousands of innocent souls and destroyed countless properties in the country.
One of the Nigerian soldiers who schemed his way out of the mission to crack down the youths, and also requested his name remains anonymous, told SurgeZirc Nigeria, “the claim by some group of Nigerians that the person in Aso Rock is not Buhari should be looked into seriously.” while adding that, “it’s impossible for a president to order military troop against his fellow citizens who have not committed any crime”.
President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa until at the time of writing this story has remained calm even as the chairman of the African Union, despite being tagged on social media by South African citizens who stood in solidarity with Nigeria youths, as their support messages keep flooding the internet.
The days of power intoxicating leaders killing their citizens over protest for bad governance is over, at least not when social media makes it open before the entire world. That said, we’re calling on African leaders and the world at large to call Aso Rock to order.

Helpless Nigerian youths have tried in their quest and fight for a better life and many have lost their lives in the process, therefore, merely calling the government to stop the brutality against its citizen will no longer be enough as it would undermine the effort of the fallen youths.
Let the wish of the citizens be done, allow the people to be part of how they will be governed, stop imposing a cruel system of governance on the people while claiming it’s the best for them. World leaders can make this work, as it is possible under DEMOCRACY.
