Chineye Iwuoha, a staff of Pacesetter Radio FM, in Abia Capital, Umuahia has returned after being abducted by unknown gunmen. The staff of the said radio station sparked up jubilation upon receiving news of Iwuoha’s release.
So far, the condition under which she was released has not been made known to the general public, but it was clearly made known that she wasn’t hurt at all. Although the kidnapper had requested for N20m ransom.
The state Commissioner of Police, CP Janet Agbede, in a telephone interview, confirmed the release of the Chineye Iwuoha but didn’t reveal if the full cash ransom was met or part of it. The commissioner only of cause displayed the police effort on her release.
”The kidnappers released her unconditionally as police mounted heavy pressure on them.” Janet Agbede said.
