On Monday in Abuja, the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic (PDP) Party, Kola Ologbondiyan released a statement accusing President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressive Congress (APC) of betraying Almajiri and Nigerians after using them to take over power in 2015.
The party alleged that since the COVID-19 pandemic has begun the APC and the President have continued to reveal they’re true colours by neglecting and dehumanizing the poor and vulnerable.
The statement reads as follows; “The PDP notes that the APC’s disdain and desertion of our citizens had further exposed it as a deceitful party, which used lies, propaganda and false promises to mislead the people in 2015 to denounce a system of governance which had their interest at heart and worked day and night to ensure a better life for them.”
According to the party, the Government and the APC have succeeded in wrecking the lives of ordinary Nigerians. They further accused them of stealing common patrimony, rendering many homes and turning joys into, hope into hopelessness and fortune into abject poverty.
The party added that the APC leaders have taken pride in demoralizing insulting the Nigerian youth by denying them job opportunities, economical growth, and going as far as labelling them lazy and unemployable.
“The PDP, however, urges Nigerians not to despair but to rally among themselves, help each other and ensure that a party like APC, which has become an emblem of misfortune, does not come to power at any level after the end of this tenure.”, the party added.
