The Secretary-General, Chief Willy Ezugwu of the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) has issued a statement warning the citizens of the alleged move to impose forced vaccination law on the country. In the statement, the political party is accusing the National Assembly of hiding under the lockdown measures to engage in impunity.

According to Daily Post, the umbrella body of all registered political parties and associations in the country further accused legislation of taking a bribe from vaccine producers.

In the statement, Ezugwu said “We have watched with uttermost dismay the speed with which the lawmakers are working on a bill to use Nigerians as guinea pigs for the forced testing of Coronavirus disease vaccines and endanger the lives of over 200 million citizens.

“It is even more shocking that the Nigerian legislators have not thought of a law to force electricity distribution companies in the country to compulsorily install prepaid meters in households across the country but can force citizens to be vaccinated”, he added.

Reports mention that the CNPP has learned that some Nigerian scientist has claimed to have developed vaccines for the COVID-19 treatment and other infectious diseases but it is said that the lawmakers have refused to make inputs towards ensuring that every Nigerian with a claim to a cure of any infectious diseases gets their claims verified authorities.

The allegations come after the Coalition of United Political Parties alleged that the House of Representatives leadership was poised to forcefully pass the compulsory vaccine bill without subjecting it to the traditions of legislative proceedings. Daily Post reported these findings last Monday.
