Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has urged Nigerian youths not to let those who are destroying their future to succeed in the forthcoming election.

Obasanjo also urged them to participate in all socioeconomic and political activities in order to change the narrative.

According to Kehinde Akinyemi, the ex-leader spoke at a mentorship retreat organized by the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library’s Youth Development Center (OOPL).

He stated that in most parts of Africa, visible barriers are preventing youth from realizing their latent potential.

The former Head of State urged young citizens to never let another person define or shape their place in society.

“I am challenging you as young Africans to engage in activities that would change the African narrative.

“Participate in socio-economic and political activities that guarantee a better future for you and don’t allow those who are messing up your future to succeed”, he added.
