Former Chelsea defender Ola Aina is on the verge of completing a transfer to Nottingham Forest, as the Nigeria international is available on a free transfer.
After leaving Italian club Torino at the end of his contract this summer, Aina is now a free agent.

According to The Times, Aina is undergoing a medical at the City Ground today (Friday) before completing other necessary formalities and finalizing his move to Forest.
The 23-year-old began his career at Chelsea but made only six first-team appearances before permanently joining Torino in 2019, following a loan spell with the club.
During the 2020/2021 season, Aina plays on loan for a year at Fulham, where he made 31 Premier League appearances.
In Italy last season, Aina played a total of 21 matches, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
However, his season was marred by two separate injuries, which caused him to miss 15 games while receiving treatment.
Should the transfer go through, Aina will become Nottingham Forest’s first new signing of the summer.
Their only other acquisition so far has been striker Chris Wood, whom they signed permanently from Newcastle after his loan spell.
Forest’s manager, Steve Cooper, is keen to bolster their full-back positions in this transfer window.
While they do have Neco Williams and Serge Aurier as right-back options, the future of Harry Toffolo remains uncertain.
Furthermore, Omar Richards will be rejoining the club from a long-term injury, making left-back a priority area for strengthening this summer.
