Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the February 25 presidential election, phone was allegedly stolen on Tuesday at the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) sitting at the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
Throughout the court hearings, Obi, who was dressed in his regular black outfit, sat close to his running mate, Ahmed Baba Datti.
Obi noticed his phone was missing following the Court’s proceedings in his case contesting the announcement of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the victor of the February 25 presidential election.
It was unclear whether he had found his phone at the time of reporting this article.
It was the Labour Party’s presidential candidate’s custom to be there whenever his petition was heard.
Peter Obi and his party are seeking the nullification of Tinubu’s election in a joint petition marked CA/PEPC/03/2023, citing severe noncompliance with the Constitution, the Electoral Act, and INEC”s election rules.
