Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo State, made the statement on Wednesday at his Ibadan mansion after Eid prayers while speaking with reporters.

He urged Nigerians to remain optimistic about a better and more affluent Nigeria under Tinubu’s leadership.

Ladoja, who also serves as the Otun-Olubadan of Ibadanland, congratulated Tinubu on a strong start and offered support for all of his administration’s decisions thus far.

He urged Nigerians not to lose faith in the government, stating that Tinubu, despite his apparent flaws, would make a difference.

According to Ladoja, things may be challenging at first, but difficult decisions had to be made before Nigerians could expect help.

With the new government, abundance will begin to flow. It may appear challenging, yet difficult decisions must be made before we can expect help.

I support the Federal Government’s decisions so far because we need to readjust and rejig Nigeria. The issue is not one of palliatives, but of how to redistribute wealth, he explained.

According to Ladoja, most of the issues being addressed by Tinubu currently are those that people had complained about to former President Muhammadu Buhari but received no attention from him.

The former governor stated that eradicating corruption will improve Nigeria and expressed confidence that Tinubu knew what he was doing.

When corruption is removed, we no longer need to police the people before they police themselves.
