Leeds United’s signing of Kristensen last summer on a contract that was meant to last for five years seemed really promising.
However, this has been proven to be a short-lived venture, as the 25-year-old defender is now poised to leave on loan after the club’s relegation from the Premier League.

SurgeZirc learned Wednesday morning that Kristensen is set to join Roma, under the management of Jose Mourinho, with a loan deal in place until the end of next summer.
This move follows in the footsteps of Diego Llorente, who recently joined Roma on loan as well.
During the previous season, Kristensen made 26 appearances in the Premier League and secured three goals.
He has also showcased his skills from the right-back position by scoring 27 goals and providing 45 assists in a total of 255 appearance throughout his career.

It is not uncommon for players to seek loan moves when their clubs are relegated from the Premier League.
However, the hope for Kristensen, Llorente, and other players leaving on loan is that Leeds United can quickly regain promotion to the top flight.
Otherwise, they may find themselves in a challenging situation next year, potentially leading to permanent sales of players like Kristensen.
While Kristensen embarks on an exciting season in Serie A with Roma, Leeds face a daunting Championship campaign ahead.
Their new manager, Daniel Farke, has a significant task ahead of him as he prepares the team for their season opener against Cardiff City on August 6th.
