Charles Nii Armah Mensah, better known as Shatta Wale, has been detained for executing a prank in which he claimed he had been shot.

The authorities have issued a warrant for the popular Ghanaian singer, who co-wrote the smash song Already with Beyonce.

He surrendered at 8.59 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.

The images of him in handcuffs have gone viral.

In this “false gunshot event,” the police have also arrested two additional people linked to the artiste, according to the police.

The two others arrested are Kojo Owusu Koranteng and Eric Venator, who, according to the police, spread fake information about Shatta Wale being shot, which was picked up by the media.

The two men’s actions allegedly generated dread and panic, according to the police.

On Monday, October 18, Shatta Wale began a prank, which has now been proven.
