Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker, both former Premier League strikers, have predicted how many goals Cristiano Ronaldo will score for Manchester United this season.
Ronaldo moved to Manchester United from Juventus during the summer transfer window.
The Portugal captain has five goals in six appearances for Manchester United in all competitions.
However, Shearer and Lineker believe the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will score more than 20 goals this season.

“When you look at his career, and particularly his career at Man United, he started there, started with very raw but unbelievable talent and you could see that from the beginning,” Shearer said on the BBC’s Match of the Day Top 10 podcast referring to Cristiano Ronaldo.
“And where he’s got to… him and Lionel Messi have taken goal scoring to another level. It was ridiculous the number of goals these guys have scored.
“It depends how often, if he stays fit…25 goals this season.”
Meanwhile, Lineker responding to the same question said, “I think I am right in saying the last time he failed to score 20 or more league goals in a season was the season he left Manchester United in 2009.
“You are pretty much guaranteed, I would say, 20 league goals,” he said predicting the number of goals Ronaldo is likely to score this season.
It is expected that Cristiano Ronaldo will continue his impressive performance for Man United after the international break when they face Leicester on October 16, but, so far, his play has been truly impressive.
