According to The Telegraph, Championship sides, Leeds United and West Brom could be denied EPL promotion if the current league season is canceled.

Speaking on Sky Sports News, Former Manchester United Player, Gary Neville said: “I think that if football is going to be played, it is right for football to be played for both promotion and relegation. It shouldn’t be played on a points-per-game basis.”

Furthermore, he said: “It doesn’t feel right to me personally for a team to be relegated with nine games to go, and with so much to play for. You must understand that it is so tight at the bottom and there is so much at stake for the bottom-placed teams.”

The English FA warned clubs that it will neither allow the cancellation of relegation nor promotion, and it is preferable if the whole season is called off.

English Premier League Board is aware of the possibility of attracting legal actions from relegated EPL clubs if they go down after completing the current EPL season while Championship clubs Leeds United and West Brom are promoted without completing theirs.
