Cristiano Ronaldo has flown back to Italy on Monday after nearly two months detention by coronavirus lockdown in his home town in Portugal. Italian reporters said the Juventus star and his family touched down Turin Airport after 10.20pm local time.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner flew on a private jet with his family from the Portuguese island of Madeira and is expected to spend two weeks in quarantine.
Cristiano Ronaldo, 35, played Juventus’s last Serie A game, a 2-0 win over Inter Milan behind closed doors at the Allianz Stadium on March 8 while the coronavirus was on rampage, before the Italian football season was called to a halt by a more severe outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic which has claimed over 29,000 lives in the country.
