The news of Obi Cubana, being arrested by EFCC operatives has prompted a reaction from Cubana Chief Priest.
Surge Zirc NG earlier reported the arrest of popular socialite, businessman, and philanthropist, Obinna Iyiegbu, better known as Obi Cubana by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The club owner, who arrived at the headquarters of the EFCC at Jabi, Abuja, about midday on Monday, November 1, is currently being grilled by the commission’s operatives.

According to a source within the commission, his case involves alleged money laundering and tax fraud.
“Obi Cubana was arrested and brought to the EFCC headquarters on Monday afternoon over allegations of money laundering and tax fraud. He is being grilled by detectives as we speak,” the source revealed.
In response to the news of the arrest, Cubana Chief Priest wrote on his Instagram page this morning:
“What Doesn’t Kill Us Makes Us Stronger, We Igbo’s Re Used To This, Mbakala Ga Ama Ozo Mana Ozo Ga Ala. #FreeObiCubana”.
In July, Obi Cubana made news when he hosted a talk-of-the-town burial for his mother in Oba, Anambra State, during which over 200 cows were presumably slaughtered.
The chairman and the owner of the popular Cabana groups works very closely with Paschal Okechukwu popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest to manage his entertainment conglomerates around the country.
Obi Cubana in a recent interview revealed that he is currently working on Cubana Dubai and Cubana Real Estate.
