Nigerian singer and songwriter, Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, better known by her stage name Simi, has sent a heartfelt letter to women in anticipation of the release of her new single “Woman.”
Over the last few days, the artist has been promoting a social media challenge honoring women’s resilience and the myriad labels that society places on them.

She explained that many women today are strong because they refuse to be broken by things that are meant to break them.
The mother of one talked about women being vulnerable in recent days and speaking up about the many nasty things others have said to poke them in life.
Many women, according to her are altering the narrative in today’s society by daring to be different. The singer believes that as a culture, we would learn to support and defend women.
Simi started her career as a gospel singer, releasing her debut studio album in 2008, titled Ogaju. She gained prominence in 2014 after releasing “Tiff”, a song that was nominated for Best Alternative Song at The Headies 2015. Simi signed a record deal with X3M Music in 2014, but left the label in May 2019 following the expiration of her contract.
