Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has been named as the best candidate to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023. “The Vice President is Nigeria’s future,” according to the group known as OGO, according to a report in the Cable.
As Foluso Ojo, the group’s national convener revealed in an Abuja statement, the group has designated August 8 as Osinbajo’s birthday. “His leadership qualities show that he can succeed Buhari in 2023,” he said.

The organisation said: “We have identified in the vice-president a leader of unimpeachable character; someone who can continue on the good works already started by President Muhammadu Buhari,” Foluso Ojo, the national convener of the group.’’
News outlets reported that the OGO argued that Osinbajo possesses the necessary skills, character traits, and passion to move Nigeria forward.
They explained that the purpose of the event was to persuade the vice president to run for office. The COVID-19 protocols will be strictly adhered to, says the group’s convener, both online and offline.
