The renowned pastor – General Overseer of Salvation Ministers, to his altar to expressed his disdain for the church;

Particularly taking issue with what he described as the use of incantations and the involvement of people’s names in rituals.

However, the Celestial Church of Christ has categorically denied engaging in any form of incantations involving individuals’ names.

Furthermore, they have emphasized that every prophet within their church vehemently opposes the consumption of alcohol, contrary to the claims made by Pastor Ibiyiomie.

Notable entities from the church, released a statement to address the matter, stating, “Pastor David Ibiyiomie of the Salvation Ministries expressed his hatred for white garment churches in a viral video.-

He specifically mentioned ‘cele’ prophets who allegedly immerse the names of people’s children in alcoholic beverages while chanting incantations, predicting a future of alcoholism for those children.”

It is important to note that ‘cele’ is not a generic term for white garment churches, and even within the white garment church community, there are distinct denominations.-

Therefore, only Pastor Ibiyiomie knows the specific white garment prophet he encountered who allegedly engaged in such practices.”

The statement further clarified, “In every Celestial Church parish, during every service, it is explicitly stated that the consumption of alcohol is strictly forbidden.-

The church firmly believes that the odor of alcohol repulses the presence of the Holy Spirit, as clearly stated in our constitution. Consequently, any prophet affiliated with the Celestial Church of Christ despises alcohol as both a beverage and a spiritual ingredient for prayer.”

Additionally, the Celestial Church addressed Pastor Ibiyiomie’s characterization of the book of Psalms, stating,

The Bible contains the book of Psalms, which consists of 150 pages. Having personally read the entire book, we have not come across any sections that can be classified as ‘demonic,’ as alleged by Pastor Ibiyiomie.-

Perhaps one needs to enroll in the Salvation Ministries’ Bible school to be taught how Psalms can supposedly be used for demonic purposes.”

The Celestial Church of Christ also expressed disappointment in the tendency of Pentecostal pastors to belittle white garment churches and their practices.

They highlighted that many practices, now deemed charismatic, were initially popularized by white garment churches and subsequently adopted by these very pastors who once criticized them.

The statement concluded by pointing out the prevalence of unscrupulous practices within certain Pentecostal churches, leading to numerous religious scandals.

It also highlighted the recent proliferation of false prophecies surrounding the concluded elections, in which Pastor Ibiyiomie himself was allegedly involved.
