President Buhari has come out to reassure Nigerians that no cost will be spared to protect them from any form of insecurity and terrorism across the country. The President made this statement during the meeting he had with members of the National Security Council (NSC) on Thursday, May 14th, 2020 at the State House.

The National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (Rtd) informed the Security Council of the challenges facing the country. He speaks extensively on the rate of kidnapping happening in the country, the horrific terror attacks happening in the North-East and banditry in many parts of the country.
Major General Babagana Monguno (Rtd.) briefed the State House Correspondents after the meeting by delivering the President’s message
He said:
“Mr. President noted all the issues raised and of course in due time he will be able to address these issues”
“Arising from this meeting, I will like to assure all Nigerians that Mr. President is fully on board, he is committed to doing whatever is necessary to reduce the spate of violence and insecurity in the country”.
