How to check the just released results bu the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) appears to be a challenge to some Nigerians.
Waec announced the release of results 45 days after it concluded its yearly exams for students of Senior Secondary Schools in West Africa.

According to waec, 81.7 percent the candidates made credits and above in at least five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics in the 2021 West African Senior School Certificate Examination result.
Around 1,274,784 million is 81.7 percent of the all out of 1,560,261 million candidates who sat the test.
While reporting the arrival of the WASSCE result on Monday, the Head, Nigeria National Office, Mr Patrick Areghan, clarified that there was a considerable 16.46 percent improvement, saying the level of candidates in the classification in the WASSCE for school candidates, 2020 was 65.24 percent.
Areghan referenced that out of the 1,560,261 million candidates that sat the assessment, 1,398,370 million candidates, which is 89.62%, acquired credit and above in at least any five subjects (i.e with or without English Language and/or Mathematics.
The examination for the 2020/2021 academic session started August 16 and ended October 8, 2021. However, some people don’t know how they can check their results online.
The good news to this year’s candidate is that they would not need a scratch card to check their result.
The Candidate’s Smart Identity Card used during the conduct of the examination contains Result Checker PIN and Serial Number required by candidates to check their results online.
Now, how can one check the 2021 waec results online?
Below is a guide on how to check your WAEC result.
1. Log onto the WAEC result checking portal, www.waecdirect.org
2. Key in your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number. The examination number include the candidate’s 7-digit centre number as well as 3-digit candidate number eg.1234567890
3. Key in your examination year eg. 2021
4. Select the type of examination. For this purpose, candidates are expected to click WAEC.
5. Key in the e-PIN Voucher Number
6. Key in the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your e-PIN, ensure the correct figures are keyed in.
7. Click the submit icon and wait for the results window to pop up.
Certificates of candidates whose results have been fully processed and released will be ready within the next 90 days, counting from November 23, 2021.
