Prophet Alfa Babatunde, the founder of Sotitobire Miracle Centre, in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria has reportedly been slammed life imprisonment after being involved in the disappearance of a little child, in his church by the name Gold Kolawole.

Prophet Alfa Babatunde was sentenced to jail on Oct. 6th by Justice Olusegun Odusola of the Ondo State High Court, Akure, after the little Kolawole who was ‘one’ at the time of his disappearance could not be found.
Kolawole went missing on Nov. 10 during a Sunday service following his mother, Modupe Kolawole dropping him at the children’s unit of the said church.
Prophet Alfa Babatunde was jailed alongside six other defendants including Omodara Olayinka, Margaret Oyebola, Grace Ogunjobi, Egunjobi Motunrayo, Esther Kayode, and Peter Anjorin.
Moreover, Justice Odusola condemned the complicity, compromise, and lazy attitude of the Ondo State Police command following Kolawole’s disappearance, an incident that triggered so much anger from the public and eventually led to the burning of the church.

Prophet Babatunde was arrested on December 10, 2019, by the Department of the State Services after the parents of the child filed a petition against him.
