Samsung Set To Unveil Its Latest Foldable Phones On July 26

Samsung has announced that its next Galaxy Unpacked event, titled “On the Flip Side,” will take place on July 26 in Seoul, South Korea.

During the event, the company is expected to unveil the Galaxy Fold 5 and the Galaxy Flip 5, its latest foldable phones. This will be the first time Samsung hosts an Unpacked event in Seoul.

The event will be live-streamed on Samsung Newsroom, Samsung.com, and the company’s YouTube channel.

In addition to the foldable phones, Samsung is anticiated to launch the Galaxy Watch 6 and new tablets from the Samsung Tab S9 series.

The Galaxy Watch series recently received FDA clearance for its irregular heartbeat notification feature, which works alongside the Electrocardiogram (ECG) function to monitor heart rhythms.

While Samsung introduces its fifth generation of foldable devices, other manufacturers are also entering the foldable devices market.

Google recently launched its first foldable phone, the Pixel Fold, and Motorola released the Razr Plus.

Oppo also launched its Oppo Find N2 Flip earlier this year, although it is not available in North America.

According to research firm IDC, the shipment of foldable phones is expected to reach 21.4 million units this year, a 50% increase from the 14.2 million units shipped in 2022.

The growing popularity of foldable phones suggests a strong demand for this innovative form factor.

Samsung is already allowing users to make reservations for the upcoming devices and is offering a $50 credit for accessories with pre-orders.

This promotion aims to encourage early adoption and enhance the user experience by providing incentives to customers.
