English Football Club officials will meet today, Monday, May 11, 2020, to continue talks on Project Restart. This meeting represents a major move towards establishing if an appetite exists for playing out the current Premier League season.

Later this week, The Premier League Stakeholders, alongside The Professional Footballer’s Association and The League Managers Association will meet to hold talks regarding the medical protocols required for a phased training first, then a full competition, after having received feedback from their members. Footballers have so far been limited to individual training.

The English Premier League Stakeholders still faces numerous challenges around Project Restart.

It was noted that British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, in a public address to the nation on Sunday, did not talk about professional sports while unveiling plans to open society from Wednesday, May 13, 2020. “People in England will be able to play sports only with members of their own household”, he said.
