A third Brighton and Hove Albion player has tested positive for Coronavirus as the Premier League nears a restart. The player who remains anonymous would be quarantined for the next 14 days. Two other Brighton players have also tested positive for Coronavirus since the spread of the pandemic.

Before now, Brighton and Hove Albion players have been training individually at the team’s training ground at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, and the club say this training system will be allowed to continue in order to curtail the spread of the coronavirus
Brighton and Hove Albion Chief Executive, Paul Barber told BBC Sport “It’s a concern, despite all the measures we have taken over the past few weeks in which the players haven’t been involved in any rigorous training at all, we still have another player testing positive for the virus.”
He suggests that players be allowed to train in small groups at first, then proceeds to some contact training, then training for a match before the match itself.
Barber has also voiced out his opinion against the league board’s proposal to play matches at neutral venues, with other Premier League clubs Watford and Aston Villa also objecting to the proposal.
While League Bosses, are also currently awaiting the government’s advice on the criteria for bio-security screenings at events, and ground-safety licensing which is expected to be rolled out later next week.

It was gathered that Premier League clubs are planning to cast votes at a meeting on Monday, May 11, 2020, on the use of neutral venues. If the votes are cast, 14 of the 20 clubs must be in favor of this proposal for it to be adopted.
There would also be a deliberation in Monday’s Premier League meeting to decide whether player contracts are to be extended until the end of the rescheduled season.
