The only member of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Hon Leonard Tomide Akinribido has been suspended by the Ondo State House of Assembly following allegations of misconduct and his use of careless words on Social Media.
Akinribido, who is the deputy minority leader in the Assembly was said to have been punished for his lack of comportment on the floor of the House and his use of vulgar words on Social media to disrespect the leader of the Assembly and its members.
Apparently, he accused the lawmakers that signed the impeachment notice of acting against their conscious and described them as “spineless”. Then, he asked the speaker to suspend him, claiming he was not afraid to join the other members of the Assembly who were suspended.
Akinribido is the fourth member that had been suspended by the Assembly in the last four weeks. The other three members who were suspended by the Ondo Assembly included the deputy speaker Iroju Ogundeji, Hon. Adewale Williams and Hon. Favour Tomomewo.

The lawmaker will not have the right to his entitlements, reported the Speaker of the Assembly, Hon Bamidele Oleyelogun.
