On Tuesday, August 1, a medical doctor died tragically inside a lift at the General Hospital in Odan, Lagos state.
Dr. Vwaere Diaso passed away just two weeks before the completion of her housemanship.
Vwaere, who earned her medical degree at Babcock University, was on her way to pick up her dinner from a dispatch ride when the incident occurred, according to her colleagues and acquaintances.
She was on her way from the 10th floor when the lift that had The vehicle, which had reportedly been malfunctioning for some time, crashed to the ground floor.
She was later brought to the emergency room, where she died.
Her friends and colleagues report that the lift had been malfunctioning for some time, but that hospital administration failed to repair it until it killed her yesterday, August 1.

”We’re especially upset because we’ve been complaining about this lift for a long time. Every time we had to use it, we had to manoeuvre, manage, and pray.
Empty promises to solve it will be made until it kills one of us,” one of her coworkers remarked on Twitter.
